MARKETING DOMAINS SPEAKER SERIES - The Big Picture!

Tuesday, April 06, 2010

As the final presentation in this yearlong series, participants will review the 6 Domains of Practice and, using the highlights from the previous sessions' presentations, will discuss the steps necessary to be effective as marketers and business development professionals.

Participants should be able to answer the question, "How do I bring value to my firm?"

  • Borrowing from Rachel Downey's presentation, we will explore how you define your role.
  • Building on Mike Buell's presentation, we will explore both the internal and external message of your firm as it relates to both marketing and business development efforts.
  • From the detail of Margaret Boswell's presentation on proposals, we will look "macro" at how proposals impact more than just a firm's ability to get the job.
  • Finally, we will explore implications for marketing and business development regardless of whether you win or lose a job.

Circling back to where this series started, we will end with a frank discussion of how each of us brings (or does not bring) value to our firm. In a difficult economy, those who bring the greatest value will be most highly valued - which are you?
