Herr will share his personal experience to help participants navigate through the hurdles that can block the vision of a strategic plan, no matter their size.  In this interactive discussion/workshop we will focus on

 

  • The front-end work which must be completed prior to an effective strategic planning session
  • The decision making process
  • The participants who are crucial to its development and
  • The all-important accountability piece – covering what to do AFTER you’ve created your business plan.

 

Participants will leave the discussion with a greater insight into the professional planning process, which can be applied to large scale strategic planning or an individual’s daily tasks.

 

Ken Herr, has over 35 years experience in sales, marketing, human resources and consulting, most of it in the construction industry.  At Shook, he is involved in the development and execution of the company’s overall strategic plan and leads the company’s successful marketing and sales effort out of its Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton and Indianapolis offices.  A member of SMPS and DBIA, he also serves as a board member on two charitable foundations, is an advisory board member to three private companies and an executive coach.  Herr received his undergraduate degree from Miami University and his MBA from Ashland University.
