Representatives from our State Architect's Office and the Equal Opportunity Division for the state of Ohio will discuss the EDGE Program in panel format. They will provide history as to how the program came about, present case studies as to the results of the program, present forthcoming modifications in the program, discuss the language of the contracts, address the screening process for consideration for EDGE participation as well as the process for moving businesses out of EDGE. They will address the frustration of AEC businesses in finding qualified EDGE program participants, and discuss what the state is doing to examine some of the problems. This will be a panel format with a moderator, and time permitting, Q&A will be allowed.

Please note there has been a change in presenters.The afternoon panel will feature a discussion on Diversity Inclusion within Northeast Ohio specifically as it pertains to the design and construction programs of some of the region’s most notable organizations. Panel members will discuss the dynamics of their company’s respective Diversity and Inclusion Program, including such topics as: the thought process that went in to the program’s development, the specific methods they utilize in order to gain enhanced diversity participation, the metrics by which they measure their success and the results they have experienced historically. This promises to be an enlightening experience for those companies, both minority and otherwise, that hope to pursue work with each of the outstanding organizations that will be participating in the panel.
