Join SMPSNEO for an exciting presentation by Deb Janik, from the Greater Cleveland Partnership.

SMPSNEO is proud to sponsor Deb Janik, of the Greater Cleveland Partnership (GCP), in a talk highlighting the catalytic developments that are changing Clevelands landscape. Focusing on real estate development, Janik will present details of how GCP combines both private and civic leadership, expertise, and resources to create jobs and investment that will improve the economic vitality of our region. She will detail how the GCPs Business Development Team, along with its external partner organizations — Bio-Enterprise, JumpStart, MAGNET, NorTech, Team NEO, and the Cleveland Plus Marketing Alliance — plan to position Cleveland as an economic driver in the region, the nation, and the world.

This inspiring presentation will generate ideas that can be used to gain business for your firm. Expect to leave this session with an understanding the GCPs partnerships, their future strategic plans, and the reasoning process by which decisions are being made to help further our citys physical development momentum!

Deb Janik joined the Greater Cleveland Partnership in October of 2005. As Senior Vice President, Real Estate and Business Development, Janik manages all GCP development programs including business development, economic development, and real estate development activities. Janik also serves as primary liaison for GCP’s regional development efforts — working in tandem with TeamNEO, a private sector-led regional economic development organization and continuing the strong partnership between GCP and the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority.

Janik is a 1987 graduate of Kent State University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance with a concentration in real estate. She began her career in 1988 in the Cleveland Department of Finance and subsequently secured an appointment as Director of the Office on Competitiveness for former Mayor Michael R. White. In 1997, Janik left the city to work for the private and non-proit sectors before returning in 2002 to serve as Assistant Director of Finance under Mayor Jane L. Campbell, after which she served as Chief of Staff and Chief Development Oficer in the Campbell administration. Prior to joining GCP, Janik served as Vice President of Regional Development for the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority.
