Key players Mike Thorson and Gordon Baker will discuss their parts in the design and construction of this project which is currently on track to receive LEED Gold.

Located on a rural site and surrounded by nature, the project highlights updated landscaping and site work including an employee garden area and two open-air landscaped interior courtyards. The meandering paved paths in the courtyards encourage employee foot traffic to traverse the combined 44,000 SF of the new addition and the existing building.

Sun light from a clerestory skylight brightens the new library. The new seminar room and breakout areas provide flexible space for impromptu meetings and are bathed in sunlight from large expanses of glazed window walls. The addition utilizes daylight harvesting technologies providing natural light with views to the newly landscaped site and the employee garden.
