Business Development Manager

Stantec's Western PA Regional offices are currently looking for a Business Development Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible to help build the Architectural and Buildings Engineering business by working closely with both Practice and Sector Leaders primarily in the Health Care, Education and Science and Technology markets.
This position also includes working with other business developers, practitioners and marketing teams across Stantec to assist in business development in targeted geographies outside the Western PA region.
The role will include, but not be limited to, monitoring activities in the market place related to the sectors noted above to target key clients and project pursuits for Stantec. Further responsibilities include contact management, market research, RFP/Lead Finding and Networking (both externally and internally).

The Business Development Manager is expected to be an active participant in the development of yearly strategic plans and associated BD budgets as it relates to this role. Further, this individual will be expected to participate in ongoing company-wide Business Development coordination activities to become an integral part of the emerging Stantec Business Development network.

This position also requires some travel between offices in the PA region.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• BS Degree in Business Administration or Marketing preferred.
• MBA is a plus.
• 10+ years' experience in the AEC Industry.

Position summary: Collaborate with the Director of Business Development and Vice President of Business Development with a focus on the civil and industrial markets in accomplishing the day-to-day operations of the department to support the company-wide business development needs ensuring an ongoing source of client revenue and a positive company image in the community.

•Demonstrated ability to forecast, formulate and implement strategic business plans
•Outstanding communication and presentation skills
•Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
•Strong interpersonal, influencing and sales skills
•Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a variety of individuals including business owners and senior executives
•Ability to travel periodically
